Play Social Media Where the Target Is [Video Clip]

Pivotal scene here in the story Seven Days in Utopia, and the difference of playing behind you, or in front of you:

Many of us are still looking at Social Media as if it were yesterday’s tool.

We’re “pushing” out messages to an invisible target hoping to hit something. And still a lot of us are poking around today as if today’s best practices are going to last more than a month week.

Start playing in front of the ball. Recognize your audience and where they are (and are going to be). And suffer not to overwhelm and confusion.

In the movie, as Robert Duvall’s character begins coaching – he starts off things with a search for “why”. And so should you. Why? Not what. Not How.

As Duvall says in the movie,

“The first step in finding a good game, is finding some conviction”

I’ll tell you this, if you’ve been in business for any amount of time, you have everything it takes to use social media in a productive and profitable way.

You give yourself a month working and learning in and around The Dialing 8 Project - a month – you’ll leave (if you leave) with a much better grip of the what and how – and you’ll definitely know your why.
